Next UAE Public Holiday: When to Mark Your Calendar
Looking ahead to the next public holiday in the UAE? We’ve got you covered. The UAE Cabinet, under the guidance of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, released the full list of public holidays for 2024 last year, ensuring everyone is prepared for the year ahead.
Following the recent four-day Eid Al Adha break, the next holiday to look forward to is the Hijri New Year, also known as Islamic New Year. This year, Hijri New Year is expected to fall on July 7, 2024, which is a Sunday.
Will There Be a Long Weekend?
The big question is whether this holiday will result in a long weekend. According to resolution No. 27 of 2024, aside from the Eid holidays, any official holiday can be moved to the beginning or end of the week by a Cabinet decision. This means we might get an extended weekend if the authorities decide to shift the holiday.
Stay tuned for official announcements from the UAE authorities regarding any potential changes. We’ll keep you updated with the latest news.
