2024 BET Awards: Best Style Moments, Full Winners List and Stellar Performances
The 2024 BET Awards was a night to remember, celebrating excellence in music, entertainment, and culture. Held in Los Angeles, the event was hosted by the always vibrant Taraji P. Henson, marking her third time as the emcee. From stunning red carpet looks to thrilling performances and deserving winners, here’s a comprehensive recap of the night’s highlights.
The BET Awards carpet is renowned for its display of bold, beautiful, and innovative fashion, and this year was no exception. Celebrities brought their style A-game, making it a visual feast for fashion enthusiasts. Here are some of our favourites from the BET blue carpet:
Coco Jones stunned in an olive green crystallized dress with silver and gold accessories featuring gemstone rings to compliment her dress. Her effortless updo and bronzed shimmery makeup completed the ensemble.
The host for the night Taraji P Henson wore a custom Balmain gown for the occasion. The gown, dripping in gold tassels and sequins featured gold chains weaved through the gown and was an absolute marvel to the eye.
Ice Spice looked like an absolute dream in an orange satin gown that hugged her silhouette and paired it with a pair of orange heels to match. The young rapper sported serious bling in her accessories with her massive chunky necklace.
Chloe Bailey sported a classic black sequin gown with cutouts at the waist and chest and stuck to simpler silver jewellery which complimented her smokey eye makeup perfectly.
The Little Mermaid star, Halle Bailey opted for a body hugging smokey grey latex gown that complimented her silhouette and the contrast of her oxblood red nails and minimal accessories brought the whole look together.
The honouree for the night, Usher went for his signature white blazer and button up shirt and paired it with some vintage acid washed denim jeans with a chunky belt to match his ankle boots.
Colman Domingo always delivers on the looks and this time was no exception, the 54 year old chose a black reflective blazer and pants that ombré’d from a red into the black from his ankles.

Album of the Year: Killer Mike’s “Michael” clinched this prestigious award. The album’s introspective lyrics and innovative production made it a standout in a competitive category.
Best Male R&B/Pop Artist: Usher, who also received the Lifetime Achievement Award, added another accolade to his illustrious career. His consistent contribution to the genre over the years made him a deserving winner.
Best Female R&B/Pop Artist: SZA continued her winning streak with this award. Her soulful voice and unique sound have resonated with fans and critics alike, solidifying her place in the industry.
Best Group: The dynamic trio of ¥$, Ye, Ty Dolla $ign took home this award. Their collaboration has been a hit, blending their distinctive styles into a cohesive and compelling musical experience.
Best Collaboration: The hit song by Lil Durk feat. J. Cole, “All My Life” won this category. The track’s infectious beat and seamless blending of the artists’ styles made it a fan favorite.
Best Male Hip Hop Artist: Kendrick Lamar’s thought-provoking lyrics and masterful storytelling earned him this award. His ability to address social issues while delivering powerful performances sets him apart in the hip-hop world.
Best Female Hip Hop Artist: The Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj reclaimed her throne with this award. Her versatility and staying power in the industry continue to inspire upcoming artists.
Best New Artist: Tyla was honored as the Best New Artist, marking a significant milestone in her rapidly ascending career. Her fresh sound and engaging performances have quickly won her a loyal fan base.
Video of the Year: The visually stunning “On My Mama” by Victoria Monet won this category. The video’s cinematic quality and compelling narrative captivated viewers.
Best Movie: “Bob Marley: One Love” was celebrated as the Best Movie. The film’s powerful storytelling and cultural impact resonated with audiences worldwide.
Viewer’s Choice Award: Beyoncé snatched viewer’s choice with her hit song “Texas Hold ‘Em” from Cowboy Carter.
Best International Act: Snagging yet another win Tyla took home this award.
Best Actress: Regina King snagged the win for this category.
Best Actor: Denzel Washington took home the win for this category.
Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award: Tems, “Me & U” received this honor. Her ability to blend contemporary sounds with traditional gospel themes has made her a standout artist in this genre.
YoungStars Award: Blue Ivy Carter snagged herself a win joining her mother Beyoncé in the winners list.
BET Her Award: Victoria Monét’s “On My Mama” was recognized for its empowering message and impactful lyrics, celebrating the strength and resilience of Black women.
